DataWedge Configuration – Asset Infinity v2

Follow the steps below to configure DataWedge for scanning Barcodes or RFID using the Asset Infinity application. 
 

1. Open the DataWedge application provided by the device manufacturer. 

2. Tap the Hamburger menu (☰) and select 'New Profile'. 

3. Name the profile as 'Asset Infinity'. 

4. Select the newly created 'Asset Infinity' profile. 

5. Tap on 'Associated Apps'. 

6. Open the Hamburger menu (☰) and select 'New App/Activity'. 

7. Scroll through the list and select 'com.assetinfinity'. 

 

  

 

8. Select the first option (*) to associate all activities of the app. 

 

9. Navigate back to the 'Asset Infinity' profile. 
 

Profile Configuration: 
 

10. Ensure 'Data Capture Plus' is enabled (checked). 

11. Barcode Input Configuration: 

   - Enable 'Barcode Input'. 

   - Enable 'Hardware Trigger' if the scanning device has a physical trigger button. 

   - If no hardware trigger is available, scanning can be done using the in-app scan button. 

   - Enable this option only if Barcode scanning is required (not applicable for RFID). 

 
 

12. RFID Input Configuration: 

   - Enable 'RFID Input'. 

   - Enable 'Hardware Trigger' if the scanning device has a physical trigger button. Currently, this is not Handled in Asset Infinity application. 

   - If no hardware trigger is available, scanning can be done using the in-app scan button.  - Enable this option only if RFID scanning is required (not applicable for Barcodes). 
 

 

13. Keystroke Output Configuration: 

   - Enable 'Keystroke Output'. 

   - This setting is required to auto-fill scanned Barcode/RFID values in the Scan Log screen within the application. 

 

14. Intent Output Configuration: 

   - Enable 'Intent Output'. 

   - Intent Action and Intent Category are not required. 

   - Set 'Intent Delivery' to 'Broadcast Intent'.
