To Create Location for Asset/Inventory/User: These locations created are used to manage functions
at different modules in the application. These appear in different parts of the
application as required like while creating Purchase Order,
Purchase Requisition, Transfer Asset, Add Inventory, Schedule
Activity, Raise Ticket, etc. User can create both parent and child locations. Locations created previously
will only be available in the Parent Location drop-down.
Follow the steps below to reach the Locations screen in Asset Infinity:
Menu > Application Settings > Locations
The form shown below opens up:
Now, go to CREATE button. The
following screen will open:

As the first step, enter all the required
details of the Location like Location Name, Location Code,
Parent location name (Locations created previously will appear in
the Parent Location dropdown)
Select Geo-Coordinates from map, Department and
Users from the Drop-down. Department can be managed from application
settings and Users from user settings.
Click on save button, the location will be added to
system.
Inventory Location - Checking the inventory button
will make this location appear in the Inventory module. Not every location
is visible in the Inventory module unless this button is kept on.
Thus, you can Add/Create a Location(s) in Asset Infinity.
