This Fixed
Assets Register Summary Report is used for the accounting compliance purposes
and it shows the Gross Block and Accumulated Depreciation for the Assets.
It can be
reached by:
Reports > Depreciation Reports > FAR Summary
Report
We will see
the following screen:
We can see
here, the colored boxes shown in the Red Rectangle. These give us the option
of saving as Report or Widget, Exporting the data as PDF or Excel File,
Refreshing the data to reflect any new additions and Grid Settings to tailor
the information grid according to our requirements by making changes to it.
We can
increase the per page records that will be shown, by clicking on Showing
Records Dropdown which can be seen within the Purple Rectangle in the above
image.
Here, we
will also see a drop down shown above in the Orange Rectangle Shape where
“Default View” is written. This means that the FAR Summary Report which will be
shown below will be in the default view which has been provided. We can also
create our own custom view by clicking on the “+” Button on the right of
“Default View”.
In this
report, we can find the information regarding Depreciation for both type of
methods which are Straight Line and Written Down Value.
We have two
fields related to Financial Year and the Month in this form. We need to choose
them as per our requirements.
When we
click on “Run Report”, then the report will be visible in the information grid
below.
We can use
the “Clear” Button to clear the contents of the FAR Summary Report Form.
We can set filters by adding information in the
area shown by the Yellow Rectangle. This can be done for different fields in
the information grid.
Also, multiple filters can be added at the same time.
We can
remove the filters through the “Clear Filter” Option shown in the grey
rectangle.
Here GB
refers to the Gross Block of Assets, and AD refers to Accumulated Depreciation
of the assets.
So, here
the GB Opening Value, the Category to which the assets belong, any additions or
deletions made from these assets, the GB Closing value is mentioned.
The AD Opening Value and the
Additions and Deletions in that are also mentioned.
We can also see the AD Closing
Value, the Written Down Value (WDV) Method calculated Depreciation Opening and
Closing Value.
This is how
we can see and manage the FAR Summary Report.
