This section is useful to schedule an activity for an asset which can be a maintenance activity or any other activity as per the requirements. In Asset Infinity we can schedule an activity with or without an asset.
We can see here that the Table has been selected as an asset and we have the option of scheduling the activity specified by the red rectangle in the above image.
Or we can access this section by going to
Asset Infinity Quick Links > Schedules > Create Button (For activities without an asset)
If we select the second option, then we see the following screen:
When we click on the button in the red rectangle which is the 'Create' button we see the following screen:
We see the schedule activity form with various fields in it.
In the Asset field we need to specify the asset for which we want to schedule an activity. Recall, that previously we have seen that the activity can be scheduled from the asset list itself. In that case this asset name is automatically selected, and we have to fill the rest of the fields. But in this present case, we can schedule both the activity without an asset or with an asset.
Then the location where the activity will take place has to be specified.
The Service Vendor field allows us to choose the vendor who would be undertaking this activity. The dropdown will list different vendors from which the relevant vendor can be selected.
We can attach a description of this activity.
In the activity type, we must choose the type of activity which we need to perform. We can add our custom list of the activities to be performed in the application. This can be related to Cleaning, Repair, and other activities.
We can attach any files if these are required.
The User Group Field allows us to choose the specific User Group who are responsible for completing this specified activity.
If we move ahead,
Here we need to select the specific assignee from the User Group which we selected before who will investigate the completion of this activity.
Then we need to mention the Start and End Date of the activity.
In “Occurs” Field we must specify the time interval within which the activity has to be repeated. It can be Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and even One Time.
The “Activity Reminders” Field helps us choose the number of days before the Scheduled Activity Date when the reminders will be sent to the users responsible for the activity completion about the timely fulfilment of the activity requirements. Suppose an activity has been scheduled on 18th May 2023, then if in the activity reminders, 3 days have been set as the reminder period, then on 15th May 2023, reminder emails will be sent to the users responsible that they must complete the activity on 18th May 2023.
We can also notify some other users regarding this activity by adding their names in the “Send Emails to” Field.
When we click on Save, then the activity gets created and is visible in the Activities Information Grid.
This is how we can create an Activity.
