Menu > User Settings > Role & Permissions 


Roles & Permissions feature helps the user to define the authority to users under different roles to perform different transactions and functions in the application. Roles can be created on the basis of user type (Admin, Employee). 


There are two User types in the application by default i.e. Admin Role (with asset location and category) and Employee Role (with Asset Location). To define roles & permission, the user can go to Menu and select Roles & Permissions under User settings. 






The fields in the form are explained below:

User Type – 

Admin: Role created for Admin user type. Here user type is Admin and Asset Location and Category are displayed in this case. Users added under this role can only view assets for whom permission is assigned. 

 

Employee: Role created for Employee user type. Here user type is Employee and Asset Location is displayed in this case. Employee user type has all permissions except Application Settings and Advanced Settings. Such users can only view assigned assets.

Help Desk  

Permission to view helpdesk i.e. manage tickets, PO, PR and GRN.

Schedules and Activities  

Permission to schedule activities and preventive maintenance.

Audits and Physical Verifications  

Permission to create audits and view reports.

Users  

Permission to add users and manage roles and permission.

Advanced Settings  

Permission to view like custom field, workflow, bar code etc.

Usage  

Permission to perform usage monitoring.

System Logs  

Permission to view barcode scanned, not scanned and notification logs.

Permission to view depreciation reports.

Permission to view Help & Support page.

Asset Fields Permissions  

User can choose the fields for add/update or view for assets.

Location Fields Permission  

User can choose the fields a user can add/update in case of locations.

Location Field Permission



Users can give location field permissions to a particular role by using Can View and Can Add or Update options. These field permissions apply to all users under this role.



Roles created will be displayed in the grid on the same page and the user can download all this information in Excel format.
